Cultural Sample: Manda Moda Campaign - SPAN 3160 (Fall 2024)
These projects demonstrate my understanding of the cultural, historical, and social dynamics within Argentina, which I applied to a business model that celebrates local fashion while catering to modern consumer needs. It showcases my ability to analyze cultural components and adapt business strategies to the unique characteristics of the target community.
For the cultural section of my portfolio, I included samples from a business concept I created, Manda Moda, an online shopping platform aimed at promoting local Argentine fashion. The platform connects consumers to a curated selection of women’s clothing from across Argentina, reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage and diverse regional styles.

In developing this concept, I conducted extensive research into Argentine consumer behavior, fashion trends, and cultural influences, ensuring that the platform was aligned with local tastes and values. I also examined how historical, social, and cultural components of Argentine society shape its fashion preferences, particularly among women from higher socioeconomic backgrounds. By incorporating these insights, I was able to create a marketing campaign that resonates with the target audience, using culturally relevant language and clothing styles.

Literature Sample
For my literature sample, I’ve chosen to share my final reflection from my Spanish Literature class I took while in Argentina. Over the semester, we explored various forms of literature and media, including essays, poems, films, music, and even visited a museum to view artwork.

The assignment required us to select quotes from the works we studied and analyze their meaning, while connecting them to our personal experiences in Argentina. This reflection gave me an opportunity to look back on my time abroad and deepen my understanding of the cultural context surrounding the material we studied.
